PhD courses

As part of your PhD at the University of Copenhagen, you are required to complete PhD courses or equivalent educational modules totaling approximately 30 ECTS. These courses can be taken at UCPH or at other universities in Denmark or abroad.

Courses may be directly related to your research or focus on general research skills, such as scientific writing in English, research ethics, or intellectual property.

To make it easier for students to take courses across institutions, Danish universities have established an agreement that allows PhD students to attend courses at other Danish universities.
